Paul Mann
Founder & Managing Director
Paul has spent over two decades at the intersection of R&D, go-to-market strategy, and consultancy — working across accountancy firms, tech startups, VC houses, data companies, and AI labs. He's had a front-row seat to just how fast the market is shifting — and it's moving faster than most people realise.
With a large part of his career focused on the SME market, Paul sees the same pattern again and again: it's not about ideas or ambition — it's about time and bandwidth. They're the real currencies founders juggle every single day. Layer in the rising pressure of AI adoption, and the challenge gets even more acute. The next two to three years will define who comes out ahead — and the companies that build AI meaningfully into how they work now will be the ones that differentiate.
Before Pathmaker, Paul was Director of Business Development at a talent intelligence data company, working directly with Tier 1 AI companies and major investment houses. Before that, he spent over a decade scaling a consultancy he founded — bringing together a team of former KPMG colleagues — and earlier still, he worked at KPMG itself.
When he's not working, you'll find Paul on a mountain bike, training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (blue belt), scuba diving somewhere warm, obsessing over classic Porsches, or tending to what he describes as an “overly ambitious aquascape”.
